Limited edition Air Force 1 "Year of the Rabbit" direction and execution as a tribute to the Chinese 2011 New Year. Traditional cultural cues were looked at as inspiration for the shoe, with original illustration, custom typography, and a bold crimson and varsity blue to round out the visual center. The rabbit is based on traditional Chinese paper cutting, and the mark on the tongue means "rabbit." The chenille was used to reference fur without being too literal, and a milky outsole was used to connote Chinese candy, which is a staple during the new year festivities. Candy wrapper-shaped molded packaging was also created, and it's release saw hundreds lining up overnight to be the first to get their hands on this sought-after release.
